  • Member of the Branch Advisory Group for the Dallas Discovery Branch. Member of the Technical Recruiting Team for Networking, Unix and Project Management.
  • Recipient of Sprint Paranet's Silver Eagle, Golden Eagle, Golden Globe and Para 100 Awards.
  • As Project Manager, acted as team lead for 5 outside contractors and one administrative assistant whose job was to orchestrate the installation of ISDN service to over 5500 7-Eleven stores across the United States. Acted as liaison between 7-Eleven, Inc. and 14 phone companies, as well as outside construction and electrical contractors.
  • As Network Consultant, re-designed telecommute program at Ericsson communications. Configured ACC and Cisco routers to connect via ISDN to allow NT Login and local operation of Windows and X Windows applications. Pilot program contained 15 users, made program scaleable to provide access for 300 telecommuters. Began a DSL solution prior to accepting a promotion into management.

  • Oversaw the day to day operations of NorthStar Technologies to include administrative and accounting personnel.
  • Directed and managed technical support team consisting of helpdesk personnel, Java, HTML and CGI programmers and consulting professionals. Also, scheduling, planning, marketing, and managing engagements and implementation of customer's accounts on website construction, advertising and maintenance.
  • Responsible for design, configuration, monitoring, and evaluation of the overall health of the LAN/WAN infrastructure for a regional internet service provider, and for implementing large/small scale network packages and client/servers across multiple operating units and geographical areas.
  • Gave presentations to various groups in both sales and marketing and instructional capacities.
Technical Support Manager, Intex.Net, Inc., Dallas, TX, 1995 - 1997

  • Appointed General Manager for transition from Intex.Net to NorthStar Technologies after Intex.Net was assumed by NorthStar Technologies.
  • Operations manager for Intex.Net. Oversaw the day to day operations of Intex.Net to include sales, administrative and accounting personnel.
  • Directed and managed technical support team consisting of helpdesk personnel and web development personnel.

  • Wrote the syllabus/cirriculum for CompuWare's "Introduction to the Internet" classes. As contract instructor, provided internet training classes to AT&T and Lucent Technologies employees.
Maintenance Supervisor, Leon's Texas Cuisine, Garland and McKinney, TX 1993 - 1995

  • Leading plant mechanic and supervisor of the mechanics division consisting of 3 maintenance and one sanitation personnel. Trained subordinate personnel in repair and troubleshooting procedures.
  • With the plant manager, coordinated the planning and the move from the Garland location to the newly constructed facility in McKinney.

Senior Electrical Instructor, Surface Warfare Officer's School, NAB Coronado, San Diego, CA 1989 - 1992

  • Consistently nominated and elected as Best Instructor, and designated as Master Training Specialist by the Chief of Naval Technical Training. Senior electrical instructor with a course staff of twelve, teaching steam propulsion theory and operations for engineering officers, and the lead instructor for thermodynamics and electrical systems. Improved student's grades by 5% by formulating a new, comprehensive study package on electrical theory and systems.
  • From concept through implementation, drafted programs for maintaining library inventory and tracking revision installation status.
  • Designed a shipboard review of electrical systems geared to relate classroom knowledge to actual equipment in use.
Leading Petty Officer, E-3 Division, USS Long Beach (CGN9), San Diego, CA 1986 - 1989

  • Led a division of 50 nuclear trained propulsion plant electricians divided between three work centers and two power plants. Performed scheduling to ensure a timely execution of maintenance and other activities in-port and at sea.
  • As Engineering Watch Supervisor, directed operations of the ship's propulsion and generation plant; as Load Dispatcher, controlled the distribution of power throughout the ship, and as safety observer, oversaw drills and special evolutions.
  • Personally selected by Commanding Officer and Engineering Officer for the Engineering Casualty Control Training Team, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Training, and Watchstation Qualification Training. Trainedg subordinate personnel on maintenance and watchstanding procedures of propulsion and non-propulsion electrical systems.

  • Instructor for electrical theory and systems in a fully operational nuclear power plant.
