I work toward the day that:

people pray next to each other in peace in civility
people exhibit and cultivate a childlike curiosity in the praxis of their brethren. It really is ok to attend the worship of another faith group! :-)
people see the best in the practice of their brethren.
fundamentalist fanaticism is seen for the aberration it is
people are allowed to practice without prosyletization from well-meaning onlookers

This whole thing is fresh in my mind again. At work I was pinned down by a co-worker who feigned interest in my religion as a way to get a foot in the evangelistic door. She did this in front of a handful of the most fervent fundamentalists of her particular sect. Guerilla evangelism.
I tried to change the subject (we were at work after all) but her uncritical conviction was unstoppable.
