Ode to a Thermos

I lusted after a Nissan stainless steel thermos bottle long enough that my girlfriend (now wife) got me one for Christmas. The Nissan line is aesthetically pleasing, technically superior, and has a 5-year warranty. What more can you want? This thing should be in a museum somewhere.

I use it chiefly to hold tea: oolong, jasmine, green, or black. I make two pots a day this way: I infuse the tea in a plain Pyrex measuring cup while I pre-heat the Nissan with hot water. When the beeper goes off I pour off the hot water and pour in the tea. It stays wonderfully hot, even to the next day.

My very favorite part of this thermos, though, is that the pour spot absolutely does not drip.

Go ahead and spend the money for one (or hint for one for Christmas): you'll love this little beast!
