1996 Mazda Protege DX

I bought this car on July 9, 2005. It has a little less than 100k and seems to be mechanically stable for now. The radio, AC, and tranny work well, and the engine starts immediately. Yay! (note; went over 100k in late 2005).

It had various dings and scratches one woudl associate with a 10-yr-old car. I cleaned up the worst offenders with some touchup paint, which works well from a few feet away.

Things I like about the car:

good MPG, approx 34mpg mixed. 39 highway, 29 spirited city driving.
5 speed
taught suspension
simple, noncluttred. No extras.
plain design

Things I don't like about the car:

no tach!
no cruise control
no arm rest
