developed by Tom Jennings in 1985, it is now the world's largest amateur
e*mail network. There are ~40k nodes, many unlisted "points" off of
listed nodes, and countless numbers of users. Most FTNs feature both
NetMail (e-mail) and EchoMail (like newsgroups). Fido has ~600 EchoMail
conferences.

Net. Dedicated to free speech and the exchange of ideas.
