L.V.X.

In simplest terms, L.V.X. is latin for light. In most cases this word is spelled "lux" nowadays. No biggie, right?

In esoteric circles L.V.X. has an amplified meaning: light in extension. The light in this sense is the universal light, the One Light, the underlying essence, the nature of all things, spiritual, physical, and otherwise. In this sense, L.V.X. means something like "may light be extended to/through you".

So I use "In L.V.X." or just "L.V.X." to close most of my personal mail. This does several things. It reminds me that the content of every email should advance me and my correspondent down our respective paths. I've defanged many a harsh reply after seeing that tag in my .signature...
