Searching the CBSRMT database
|
This search functionality is primitive at this point, but is a step in the right direction.
Tips for usage:
- If you're trying to find out the name of a particular show, search for a keyword in the Plot or Title fields. Searching for individual words like "monster", "heart" or "house" will probably be better than trying to search for phrases.
- Do not use wildcards; a search for
heart will find the string "heart" in "heart", "heartburn", etc.
- There is no AND or OR boolean logic yet. If you search for
lost planet the you'll find shows listings that contain "lost planet".
- If you want to see a list of shows starring an actor, try searching Star for gwynne, rose, mercedes, etc. Note that usually only the star is mentioned in that field.
- Case is insignificant.
- Show numbers must be 4 digits: 0098, 1126, etc.

Shows that need plots

The old, complete listing is still online. OTRWalter also has a searchable RMT database online.
Note to RMT fansite webmasters/developers: I am running this off a
PostgreSQL server. If you want to leverage this database from your perl,
PHP, C/C++ or other code just drop
me a note. I'll give you an account so you can query it over the
net using the standard PostgreSQL port. The account will be read-only
(only can SELECT) but that's better than nothing. Compressed protocols
will be preferred. This is a free service to the RMT community, and
comes without warranty.
You are also welcome to download the latest text
dump of the table (right-click to save to disk)..
