TCP/IP Networking in UNIX - Course resources
You are not required to be familiar with these resources, but they may help you find more information on XML topics which interest you. Please report dead links to mouse.browser@mousetrap.net.
Newsgroups are forums oriented around a particular subject. You can read the news via web interface at deja/google, but your best longterm bet is to use your ISPs news server and use some kind of freeware news client:
- Newsgroups
- WWW
- Mailing Lists
- Periodicals

Remember, your login is based on your machine's hostname, not on any other number.
~/[initials] refers to the subdirectory under your homedir, named after your initials. Everything except for .dotfiles will be stored in your ~/[initials] directory.
